How to Prepare Your Home for Marketing: Dean Graziosi Suggests Tips to Prepare Your Property for Sale

When it comes of marketing plan for your property, most of the sellers leave entire responsibility on the shoulders of marketer. However, what they fail to realize is the demand of their property. It is an obvious fact; no one can take care of your property as you do. Similarly, the task of the marketer is to attract customers. He/she is not responsible for success of the deal between buyer and seller.

According to Dean Graziosi, the responsibility lies on seller. How you have maintained your property and how you are going to present it, all these factors will decide about final output of the deal. According to Dean, you must prepare your property before contacting marketer. Dean Graziosi is an expert realtor. He has been working in the field of real estate for more than twenty years.

Dean belonged to a broken family. He did not spend an ideal childhood. His early life is filled with struggle and hard work. He left his education incomplete and started business of auto parts. It was his first venture as an entrepreneur. He worked on that business for two years and at the age of 18, he signed his first real estate deal. It was a run-down apartment building. He renovated and resold it with profit.

Successful completion of first project encouraged him to enter in the business of real estate as a full time investor.  Today, Dean signs more than 50 real estate deals every week. He has a number of loyal and faithful agents and subordinates as helping hands. Dean is a bestselling author and a motivational public speaker.

Let us have a look on what he has to say regarding preparation of the property for marketing.

Forget Memories:
According to Dean, those sellers who are selling their homes will have soft corner for the property. They will be quite sensitive about it. They might not like it when marketer suggests them some changes in the setting. Moreover, there living room, stairway and corridors are filled with snapshots of family events.
The first and foremost thing to prepare your house for sale is to remove all family belongings. For those who are emotionally attached to the property, it would be quite hard to remove pictures, but remember, houses are made home by inhabitants otherwise they are nothing but a pile of brick and cement.

You Are Living in Your Commodity:

Now that you have made up your mind to sell the property, make sure that you actually treat it like a commodity. Always keep in mind that the moment you decided to sell the house, it turned in to hard money. Take care of your house as if you are handling cash.

Clean and Tidy:
Image of an excellent and luxurious home is ruined by a messy outdoor or indoor. Keep your home clean and arranged. Make your bed, couch, dishes every morning. Keep the home as clean as if lifestyle magazine is coming to shoot their campaign at your beautiful home.

Miscellaneous:

  • The Home must receive enough sunlight and is brighter throughout the day.
  • Arrange potted indoor plants to increase beauty and a sense of refreshing environment.
  • Make the house appear like home, a cozy chair with a side table. Place an open book inverted on the table. Place a shawl or scarf as if you were reading a book just a few moments ago. Play with similar ideas and given buyers a vision in to their future lifestyle.
