How to Become a Smart Consumer: Dean Graziosi Gives You Tips to Save Your Money & Your Property

Federal Bureau of Investigation has shared some shocking results. According to Mortgage Fraud Website of Federal Bureau of Investigations, the number of real estate scams has been tremendously increasing since 2008. There are various reasons why the scam rate is increasing with every passing day. However, one of the main reasons is irresponsible and negligent behavior of the consumers.

According to Dean Graziosi, if you want to save your property and your money from real estate scams, you must act and behave smartly. Negligence is like a catalyst, scammers are well aware of your weaknesses. Another reason is deliberate indolence and fear. Consumers fear of foreclosure, they do not have time and money to spend on a legal advisor. But, they do have both commodities to spare on scammers.

Dean Graziosi is a famous realtor. Americans know him and they praise him. His infomercial series is one of the longest running on national TV channels. Dean started his real estate career with a small run-down apartment building. But, today he owns a number of companies. He has a multimillion-dollar business. He performs some 50+ deal ever week.

Despite of maligned efforts, Dean is consistently showing his best towards common people. His bestselling books are available in affordable price. He motivates his students to search and to use new and innovative ways. He believes that technology can help us achieve heights of success that are otherwise hidden and concealed under falsified statements.

In order to help common people from real estate scams, Dean has designed a list for smart consumers.

  • US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is an approved, nonprofit counseling agency. It helps you in dealing with different aspects of home buying, maintenance, rehabbing and selling. It is recommended to attend their program before making a deal on the house.
  • Real estate agent is the only person that can help you get rid of the scammers. Whether you are buying or selling your house, always consult with a referred real estate agent. If a company is offering you relief on your mortgages, talk to a local real estate agent. Almost all of the real estate agents know about all of the mortgage relief providing genuine as well as fake companies working in their area.
  • Scammers often charge extra hundreds or thousands of dollars on the properties. Conduct a thorough online as well as neighbor search to find out true price of the property.
  • Hire professional people to finalize and legalize your deal. Hire a professional inspector before finalizing the deal. Decide who is going to pay for repairs, seller or buyer. Keep everything in writing with the help of a professional and qualified person.
  • Do not trust anyone promoting a particular seller or buyer.
  • Always search closing costs and listings before contacting other party.
  • Always be authentic and provide genuine information when you are applying for a loan. Deliberate submission of falsified documents, misleading information about down payments or about your stipend will ruin your loan mortgages. Eventually, leading your property to foreclosure.
  • Never borrow more money than you can pay.
  • Never sign a blank document. Never trust anyone while signing a real estate deal, no matter how close and trustworthy the person is. Always read all of the documents thoroughly.
  • Be honest with your seller. Mention clearly, whether you want to live in the house or you are going to put the house on rent. Deliberate concealing of the information is a crime under federal law.
